Flap Happy was founded by designer Laurie Lipson Snyder, a Malibu native and mother of four. Laurie started the business 28 years ago with an idea for a hat that would protect her children’s faces and necks from the sun and elements. The Original Flap Happy UPF 50+ flap hat is the hat that started it all! Twenty eight years later, Flap Happy is much more than hats, offering swimwear, playwear, outerwear, and UPF 50+ headwear lines. Featuring vibrant colors, playful prints and details such as ruffles and bows, Flap Happy’s line is available in sizes for infants, toddlers, and kids through size 8.
